Holafly vs Saily in one paragraph
Saily is cheaper than Holafly for Germany at every length both sell: $23.99 against $27.50 for a week, $41.99 against $51.50 for 15 days, $59.99 against $76.50 for a month. Saily also sells buckets, 10 GB for $16.99 and 20 GB for $22.99, which Holafly does not. Holafly gives you the simpler product: unlimited days with no stated daily cap for your own phone, on Vodafone and O2, with the app recommended rather than required. Saily slows you to 1 Mbps after 5 GB a day, needs its app, and does not name its German network. Only Holafly sells a 3-day plan, at $11.90. Pick Saily for the lower price of the two or a bucket. Pick Holafly if you stream all evening and never want to think about a daily cap. If the trip is unlimited for any length, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For 3 days of unlimited, Holafly asks $11.90 and Saily sells no 3-day plan. For a week, $27.50 at Holafly and $23.99 at Saily. For 15 days, $51.50 at Holafly and $41.99 at Saily. For 30 days, $76.50 at Holafly and $59.99 at Saily. Saily wins every row where both sell, by a few dollars on the week and by $16.51 on the month.
Ringo Light sells three trips for Germany: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. The 3 days costs less than Holafly's $11.90. The 2 weeks costs less than Saily's week at $23.99, and about a third of Saily's 15 days at $41.99 or Holafly's at $51.50. The 30 days costs less than half of Saily's $59.99, and about a third of Holafly's $76.50. Ringo Light sells no 7-day plan; for a week, its 2 weeks at $14.99 is still the cheapest of the three, with a week of days left over.
For a fixed amount of data, Saily is the only one of the three that sells it: 10 GB for 30 days at $16.99, 20 GB at $22.99. Holafly sells no buckets. Ringo Light sells no buckets either. Our 2 weeks at $14.99 is under Saily's 10 GB, but it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days. If you want 20 GB for a month, Saily at $22.99 is cheaper than our 30 days at $26.99, and we would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Saily's unlimited for Germany gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That covers maps, messages and a few hours of video; a long evening of HD streaming or a big backup will hit it. Holafly states no daily cap for your own phone and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day, so Holafly is the one to pick between the two if you refuse any cap on the phone itself, but not if you share data to a laptop every day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 3 days, 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Germany
Germany has three big networks: Telekom, Vodafone and O2, with 1&1 building a fourth. All three cover Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Cologne well. Telekom reaches furthest into the countryside; O2 is thinnest outside the cities. Coverage on trains is patchy on every network in cuttings and forests, which is why the ICE has its own Wi-Fi. Holafly rides Vodafone and O2. Saily does not name its German network on its listing. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. None of the three names Telekom. If your trip is cities and rail, any of them works; if you want to know the network before you pay, Holafly is the one of the two that tells you.
Installation, app and support
Saily needs its app: you buy, install and manage the plan inside it, and that is where its support lives. Holafly recommends its app but does not require it; you can install from the details it sends and reach support by chat on its site. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Frankfurt, Munich or Berlin.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Germany it sells three trips, all unlimited data at full speed: 3 days at $8.99, 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $26.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 20 GB to last a month, Saily at $22.99 is the better buy. If you need exactly 10 GB over 30 days, Saily at $16.99 sells that and we do not; our 2 weeks at $14.99 is cheaper but ends after 2 weeks. For unlimited at 3 days, two weeks or a month, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three by a wide margin.

How we compared, and our sources
Holafly, Saily, Ringo Light
We priced Holafly, Saily and Ringo Light for Germany on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Airalo, Nomad and Ubigi. They sell Germany too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-germany. This page answers one question, Holafly or Saily, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
