The short answer
Airalo is the travel eSIM most people already know, and it sells Albania at every length: $19.50 for 3 days, $35.50 for a week, $57.50 for 15 days and $98 for 30 days of unlimited, plus buckets from $13 for 5 GB. Ringo Light sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $33.99. For two weeks or a month, Ringo Light costs a third of Airalo. For 3 days, a week or a bucket, Airalo has the plan and we do not.
Unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $14.99 or 30 days at $33.99, nothing renews, no app. Airalo asks $57.50 for 15 days and $98 for the month.

Airalo vs Ringo Light in one paragraph
For two weeks or a month in Albania, Ringo Light is the cheaper of the two by a wide margin: $14.99 for 2 weeks against $57.50 for Airalo's 15 days, and $33.99 for 30 days against $98. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed; Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps. Airalo wins everywhere else. It sells 3 days at $19.50 and a week at $35.50, and Ringo Light sells neither. It sells buckets, 5 GB for $13, 10 GB for $22 and 20 GB for $30, and Ringo Light sells none. It names its network, One Albania, and its app shows your balance. Pick Airalo for a short trip or a small bucket. Pick Ringo Light for two weeks or a month of unlimited.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from airalo.com and the Ringo Light catalogue. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $19.50; Ringo Light has no 3-day plan for Albania. For a week, Airalo asks $35.50; Ringo Light has no 7-day plan, and its 2 weeks at $14.99 costs less than half of Airalo's week. For 15 days, Airalo asks $57.50; Ringo Light's 2 weeks is $14.99. For 30 days, Airalo asks $98; Ringo Light asks $33.99.
For a fixed amount of data, Airalo is the only one of the two that sells it: 5 GB for $13, 10 GB for $22 and 20 GB for $30, all for 30 days. Ringo Light sells no buckets. If 5 GB for a month is all you need, Airalo at $13 costs less than our 2 weeks at $14.99. If you need 10 GB spread over a full month, Airalo at $22 lasts 30 days and our $14.99 lasts 2 weeks. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Albania gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps, messages and an hour or two of video; an evening of streaming in HD will hit it, and 1 Mbps is slow for anything but text. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Albania
Albania has two mobile networks: One Albania and Vodafone Albania. Both cover Tirana, the main towns and the coast well. Coverage thins in the mountains: on the hike between Theth and Valbona, around Lake Koman and in parts of Llogara National Park, expect gaps on any network. Airalo rides One Albania and says so on its page. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For Tirana, Berat, Gjirokastër and the Riviera, either works; download offline maps before you head north on both.
Albania is outside EU roaming. An EU phone plan can charge a lot for data here unless your carrier includes it, which is why a travel eSIM saves the most on this trip.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it, and the app shows your balance and holds its support chat. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. If you like to watch a balance go down, Airalo gives you that and we do not; with unlimited there is no balance to watch. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land in Tirana.
What Ringo Light is, and what it is not
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Albania it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $14.99 and 30 days at $33.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it is not: it is data only, there is no phone number, no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 5 GB for a month, Airalo at $13 is the better buy. If you want 3 days, Airalo at $19.50 is the only one of the two that sells it. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheaper by far.
