The short answer
Airalo and Nomad sell different things for Europe. Airalo Eurolink sells unlimited at every length, $11.50 for 3 days, $27 for a week, $49 for 15 days and $71 for 30 days, across 41 countries. Nomad sells the cheaper buckets, 10 GB for $23 and 20 GB for $27, and unlimited only up to 10 days, $19 for 5 days and $34 for 10, across 35 countries. Both slow you down on unlimited, Airalo after 5 GB a day and Nomad after 2 GB. Ringo Light, the third option, is unlimited data at full speed across 33 countries for 2 weeks at $22.99 or 30 days at $35.99.
Unlimited data at full speed in 33 countries for 2 weeks at $22.99 or 30 days at $35.99, nothing renews, no app. Airalo asks $49 and $71. Nomad sells nothing past 10 days.

Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph
Airalo and Nomad are not selling the same thing for Europe, so the answer depends on what you want. If you want unlimited for longer than 10 days, Nomad is out: its Regional Europe unlimited stops at 10 days, $19 for 5 and $34 for 10, and Airalo Eurolink sells 15 days at $49 and 30 days at $71. If you want a bucket, Nomad is the cheaper of the two by a clear margin: 10 GB for 30 days at $23 against $31 at Airalo, 20 GB at $27 against $48. Airalo covers 41 countries to Nomad's 35, and needs its app, where Nomad's is optional. Both slow you down on unlimited, Airalo after 5 GB a day and Nomad after 2 GB. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, unlimited data at full speed, across 33 countries.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars. For 3 days of unlimited, Airalo asks $11.50; Nomad sells no 3-day plan, and its shortest unlimited is 5 days at $19. For a week, Airalo asks $27; Nomad sells no 7-day plan, so you pick between 5 days at $19 and 10 days at $34. For 15 days, Airalo asks $49; Nomad sells no plan past 10 days. For 30 days, Airalo asks $71; Nomad sells no 30-day unlimited. On unlimited, Airalo is the only one of the two that goes the distance.
On buckets the order flips. Nomad sells 10 GB for 30 days at $23 and 20 GB at $27. Airalo asks $31 for 10 GB and $48 for 20 GB. For a fixed amount of data over a month, Nomad is cheaper at both sizes, by $8 on 10 GB and by $21 on 20 GB.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Europe: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, both unlimited data at full speed. The 2 weeks costs less than half of Airalo's 15 days at $49, and less than Nomad's 10 days at $34. The 30 days costs about half of Airalo's $71; Nomad has nothing at that length. Ringo Light sells no 3-day or 7-day plan: for 3 days, Airalo at $11.50 is the cheapest of the three. For a week, our 2 weeks at $22.99 costs less than Airalo's 7 days at $27 and Nomad's 10 days at $34, with a week of days left over.
For a bucket, Ringo Light sells none. If 10 GB over a month is all you need, Nomad at $23 is the better buy than our 2 weeks at $22.99, which costs a cent less but ends after 14 days. If you need 20 GB over a month, Nomad at $27 is $8.99 under our 30 days at $35.99. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo Eurolink unlimited gives 5 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps until the next day. That covers maps, messages, calls over apps and a few hours of video. Nomad's Regional Europe unlimited gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps, which is tighter: an evening of streaming in HD will reach it. Of the two, Airalo gives you more full-speed data a day, and sells it for longer. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Which countries each plan covers
A Europe plan is only as good as its country list, and the three lists differ. Airalo's Eurolink covers 41 countries, and it is the one to buy if your route runs through Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia or Ukraine, which Ringo Light does not cover. Nomad's Regional Europe covers 35 countries on its unlimited plans. Ringo Light covers 33: the EU countries plus the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Gibraltar.
Check the list for every country on your route before you buy, whichever brand you pick. The UK and Switzerland are the two that catch people out: neither is in the EU, and a plan sold as EU only can skip them. Airalo Eurolink, Nomad and Ringo Light all include both. On the road, each eSIM joins a local network in whichever country you are in; none of the three names one operator for the whole region.
Installation, app and support
Airalo needs its app: you buy, install and top up inside it. Nomad's app is optional; you can buy on its site and install from the details it sends, or use the app if you prefer. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly, switch it on for data when you land, and let it move to the local network itself at each border.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Europe it sells two trips across 33 countries, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app. When you cross a border, it moves to a local network in the next country on its own.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB or 20 GB for a month, Nomad at $23 or $27 is the better buy. If you want 3 days, Airalo at $11.50 is cheaper than anything we sell for Europe. If your route runs through Serbia, Bosnia, North Macedonia or Ukraine, Airalo Eurolink covers them and we do not. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three, and for a week it still costs less than either rival's nearest plan.

How we compared, and our sources
Airalo, Nomad, Ringo Light
We priced Airalo, Nomad and Ringo Light for Europe on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Holafly, Saily and Ubigi. They sell Europe too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-europe. This page answers one question, Airalo or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for Europe on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
