The short answer
Nomad is cheaper than Airalo for a bucket in Bali, $19 against $21 for 10 GB, and rides Telkomsel, the network with the widest reach across the islands. Airalo is the one of the two that sells unlimited for 3, 7, 15 or 30 days, $11, $27, $48 and $69; Nomad sells unlimited only for 5 days at $18 and 10 days at $33. Ringo Light, the third option, is unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $22.99 or 30 days at $35.99, cheaper than either for those lengths.
Unlimited data at full speed for 2 weeks at $22.99 or 30 days at $35.99, nothing renews, no app. Airalo asks $48 for 15 days and $69 for 30 days; Nomad sells no unlimited past 10 days.
$11 for 3 days, $27 for a week, $48 for 15 days, $69 for 30 days of unlimited, 3 GB a day at full speed, on Indosat Ooredoo and one other network. Buckets from $4.50 for 1 GB, 10 GB at $21. App optional.
10 GB for 30 days at $19 and 20 GB for 45 days at $33, on Telkomsel, the network that covers the most of the islands. Unlimited only for 5 days at $18 or 10 days at $33, 2 GB a day at full speed. App recommended.

The prices, charted
US dollars, 25 October 2026. Airalo sells 15 days, Ringo Light 2 weeks. Nomad has no bar here: it sells no 15-day unlimited, its longest is 10 days at $33. Airalo is 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps; Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
The 30-day plan at each brand. Nomad sells no 30-day unlimited, so it has no bar. Airalo slows to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed.
Nomad is the cheaper bucket of the two. Ringo Light sells no bucket: its 2 weeks is unlimited, so it lasts 2 weeks, not 30 days.

Airalo vs Nomad in one paragraph
Airalo and Nomad sell the same two things for Bali, buckets and unlimited days, but not at the same lengths. Nomad is the better bucket: $19 for 10 GB against $21 at Airalo, and $33 for 20 GB that lasts 45 days against $35 for 30 days, all on Telkomsel, the network that reaches furthest across the islands. Airalo is the better unlimited: it sells 3, 7, 15 and 30 days at $11, $27, $48 and $69, while Nomad stops at 10 days, $18 for 5 and $33 for 10. Airalo gives 3 GB a day at full speed before it slows to 1 Mbps; Nomad gives 2 GB a day. Pick Nomad for a bucket or for the Gilis and Nusa Penida. Pick Airalo for a short unlimited stay. If the trip is two weeks or a month and you want unlimited, neither is the cheapest: Ringo Light sells 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, unlimited data at full speed.
Price: the same trip at each
Priced on 25 October 2026, in US dollars, from each brand's own site. For a bucket, Nomad wins: 10 GB for 30 days is $19 at Nomad and $21 at Airalo; 20 GB is $33 at Nomad, lasting 45 days, and $35 at Airalo for 30 days. Airalo also sells smaller buckets, from $4.50 for 1 GB.
For unlimited, the two do not line up. Airalo sells 3 days at $11, a week at $27, 15 days at $48 and 30 days at $69. Nomad sells 5 days at $18 and 10 days at $33, and nothing longer. So for a weekend, Airalo at $11 is the cheaper of the two by a wide margin. For about a week, Airalo's 7 days at $27 costs less than Nomad's 10 days at $33, but Nomad gives you three more days. For two weeks or a month, Nomad has nothing to sell you.
Ringo Light sells two trips for Bali and the rest of Indonesia: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99, both unlimited data at full speed. The 2 weeks costs less than half of Airalo's 15 days at $48, and less than Airalo's single week at $27 or Nomad's 10 days at $33. The 30 days costs about half of Airalo's $69. Where Ringo Light loses: it sells no 3-day plan, so Airalo at $11 is the buy for a stopover, and it sells no buckets, so Nomad at $19 and Airalo at $21 are cheaper if 10 GB over a month is all you need. We would rather you read that here than at checkout.
What unlimited means at each
Airalo's unlimited for Indonesia gives 3 GB a day at full speed, then slows to 1 Mbps for the rest of the day. That covers maps, messages, photos to the family group and an hour or two of video; an evening of HD streaming in the villa will hit it. Nomad's unlimited gives 2 GB a day at full speed, then slower, so it hits the wall sooner than Airalo, and it only runs for 5 or 10 days. Ringo Light is unlimited data at full speed for the whole 2 weeks or 30 days. Fair use policy, see Terms.
Networks and coverage in Bali
Telkomsel has the widest coverage across the Indonesian islands, including the Gilis, Nusa Penida and the north of Bali. Indosat, XL and 3 are fast in Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud and the south, and thinner outside the towns. Nomad rides Telkomsel. Airalo's own page names Indosat Ooredoo, with one other network. Ringo Light rides a local partner network. For the south of Bali and Ubud, any of the three works. If you will spend days on the smaller islands, Nomad on Telkomsel is the safer buy of the two, and that is a real reason to pay $19 for its 10 GB rather than $21 for Airalo's.
Installation, app and support
Airalo's app is optional: you can buy on its site and install from the details it sends, and its app carries support chat and top-ups. Nomad recommends its app for buying, installing and topping up. Ringo Light needs no app; the eSIM arrives by email in seconds and installs in one scan, and support is by email. Whichever you pick, install it at home before you fly and switch it on for data when you land at Ngurah Rai.
The cheaper third option: Ringo Light
Ringo Light is our own data eSIM, sold to fund the full Ringo, one plan that works everywhere with your own number ported onto it. For Indonesia it sells two trips, both unlimited data at full speed: 2 weeks at $22.99 and 30 days at $35.99. One payment, nothing renews, no app.
What it does not do: no buckets, no 3-day or 7-day plan, no phone number, data only. Calls go over apps that use data. If you want 10 GB for a month, Nomad at $19 or Airalo at $21 is the better buy. If you want 3 days, Airalo at $11 is the buy. For a week, Ringo Light's 2 weeks at $22.99 still costs less than Airalo's 7 days at $27, with a week of days left over. For two weeks or a month of unlimited, Ringo Light is the cheapest of the three.

Frequently asked questions
How we compared, and our sources
Airalo, Nomad, Ringo Light
We priced Airalo, Nomad and Ringo Light for Bali on 25 October 2026, all on the same day, in US dollars. Each rival's price comes from its own website where it showed dollars, otherwise from an esimdb.com listing, and every source and its date is listed below. Ringo Light's prices come from the catalogue our checkout charges.
We compare the trips people actually book: a week, two weeks and a month of unlimited data, and a 10 GB bucket. We read each brand's fair use and speed rules and quote them as the brands state them. We did not run speed tests, so this page makes no speed claims for any brand.
Ringo Light is our own product. We put it in the table on the same terms as everyone else, and where a rival is the better buy the page says so.
Left out: Holafly and Ubigi. They sell Bali too and are priced on the same day in the full comparison at /blog/best-esim-for-bali. This page answers one question, Airalo or Nomad, so it keeps to those two and the cheaper third option. Left out: Saily. Its prices were read on saily.com in dollars on 25 October 2026 and none of them wins a row: unlimited is $26.99 for 7 days, $48.99 for 15 days and $71.99 for 30 days, 5 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps; 10 GB for 30 days is $21.99. It left the charts on 22 October, when its prices could not be read, and the table has not been widened since; the figures here are for the record; see /blog/best-esim-for-bali. Left out: Revolut. It sells Indonesia data plans from 1 GB for 7 days up to 100 GB for 60 days inside its banking app, for Revolut account holders only, with no price per plan in dollars and no unlimited plan, so it has no bar in the charts. Left out: Maya Mobile. We could not read its own prices for this country on the day, so it stays out rather than being guessed.
- Airalo: www.airalo.com/indonesia-esim?currency=USD, unlimited plans and network read on the site in dollars, 25 October 2026; the 10 GB and 20 GB buckets from esimdb's Airalo Indonesia listing dated 4 October 2026
